In 1913, Bowling Green Country Club was formed to "promote wholesome and healthful outdoor sports and to provide entertainment for and encourage sociability among the members". Over a century later that same commitment to family, sport, and friendships has not changed. BGCC has always been committed to being more than just a private club. We are your home away from home.
1913 - Bowling Green Country Club was formerly founded on October 25 1913
1919 - 9-hole golf course completed
1929 - Original clubhouse destroyed by fire
1930 - New Clubhouse and concrete swimming pier on the Barren River constructed
1953 - Construction of our first pool
1957 - The Southern Kentucky Swimming Association was created and the BGCC Barracuda Swim team was formed
1958 - 18-hole Golf Course layout completed
1963 - Clubhouse and new pool at current location completed
1973 - Major clubhouse renovations done to the interior and exterior of the building
1992 - Complete redesign and reconstruction of Clubhouse to current layout
1994 - 18-hole Golf Course layout redesigned by David Pfaff
2013 - Bowling Green County Club Centennial Celebration
2021 - Enclosed outdoor patio to create an additional indoor dining area
2022 - Clubhouse renovation completed including Outdoor Pavilion construction, main bar area renovation, new men’s locker room and interior/exterior paint
